Experts agree that fashion trends tend to be cyclical but there are some styles we’re hoping are gone for good. We’ll talk about some looks that need to stay in the 2000’s. Even the likes of Kylie Jenner have tried bringing these fashions back to life. If you remember being covered head to toe in Ed Hardy, you know what we’re talking about! We’re all for staying comfy, but wearing velour tracksuits and nightgown dresses isn’t the right answer! Yoga pants are a great cozy alternative so don’t bother reaching for those unflattering knee-length leggings. A messy bun can hide frizzy hair even better than a trucker hat and there are better ways to add some shine to your outfit besides a statement belt. If you’re trying to stay warm, there are way better options than a cropped cardigan or a short-sleeved jacket. It can be difficult to put together a matching outfit, but by choosing to wear boho skirts or gaucho pants you’re making things even worse for yourself! There are so many gorgeous scarf options from hand knitted to infinity that it just doesn’t make time to waste time and money on inferior thin scarves. If you’re trying to decide what to get rid of the next time you do a closet overhaul, we definitely have some ideas!

Do you think these nostalgic styles should stay in the past or are there some you just refuse to give up? Let us know what you think in the comment section below and don’t forget to click on the subscribe button and turn on your notifications for more new videos from us here at The Talko.

I actually own like 2 Gaucho pants. Best way to save and wear them are on summer days w/ simple t-shirts loosely tuck in and nice sandals. 💯

  7. Pumpkin Queen on October 7, 2021 at 9:03 am

You mean gaucho pants were LONGER than capris and SHORTER than jeans, right?

  8. christen gardner on October 7, 2021 at 9:04 am

Are the knee length leggings she is talking about what we know as biker shorts?? I’m confused

  9. OnThisDayHistory1 on October 7, 2021 at 9:05 am

I think she said flattering 500 times

  10. Kerry Alfaro on October 7, 2021 at 9:07 am

And velour tracksuit is the most comfortable thing I miss about the 2000s!!! And I still wear capri’s, not everyone is allowed or should be wearing shorts and or short summer dresses!!! Some of us aren’t as attractive as we once were in the leg department!!! And I choose what I like to wear and I will not be told what is "in style" by a bunch of stuck up over paid snobs in a high rise in LA or NY, paris or Italy etc……. Their ideas of fashion doesn’t fit everyone’s style comfort zone!!! Wear what you like and what makes you feel good about yourself!!! Don’t be influenced by others ideas for you

  15. sarah shehzad on October 7, 2021 at 9:13 am

I don’t like these trends either but half cardigans are really cool and fashionable

  16. Jimi Cope on October 7, 2021 at 9:13 am

personally I think the low cut jeans where super hot, way hotter than the 80s style of hiked up jeans women wear these days, when women had nice hips and nice belly, those low jeans showed it off and also made their butts like nicer too, now all butts look stretched out and jeans sometimes go up past their belly button, imo its not as attractive but thats just me.

  26. OnThisDayHistory1 on October 7, 2021 at 9:25 am

  27. christen gardner on October 7, 2021 at 9:25 am

    I loved Ed Hardy

  28. Lakpa Donkaa on October 7, 2021 at 9:27 am

I would love to wear all these again 😍

  29. Chester & Harper Yt on October 7, 2021 at 9:27 am

A lot of these are really great but I do agree that low rise jeans should stay in the past

  30. michah7214 on October 7, 2021 at 9:28 am

I won’t buy another pair of pants until I can find low rise pants. I don’t care if other women want high rise pants. Why can’t there be choices? High rise pants are hideous on me and I literally can not stand anything around my waist. I have way too many tactile issues. Never again will I suffer with high rise pants. If they didn’t return I’d get them made if I had to

  31. Aariyan096 on October 7, 2021 at 9:30 am

Some of these clothes are still cute

  32. OnThisDayHistory1 on October 7, 2021 at 9:31 am

Why you hating on Ed Hardy like that.

  33. Marcela Oviedo on October 7, 2021 at 9:32 am

Raise your hand if you were personally victimized by low rise jeans 😭🙋🏻‍♀️

  34. Siren Lucy on October 7, 2021 at 9:35 am

    Oh, yeah….glorious 2000’s.

A time when human rights still meant something and you were allowed to decide for yourself if you wanted to be tested, wear a mask in public transport objects or to keep distance to your own family members.

    *sigh*😔

  35. Chelsea Macharia on October 7, 2021 at 9:37 am

But, why are the Kardashians pulling off all the looks?😂

  36. liddol elli on October 7, 2021 at 9:38 am

nice of you to say low rises jeans aren’t flattering on some body types.. seriously , just let them wear wtf they want.

  37. Ranita Gadling on October 7, 2021 at 9:39 am

Lol 🤣 that’s pretty funny how they said that velour tracksuits were tacky back then but now wearing them to do simple things like run errands is somehow acceptable.

  38. Luchi_Uchi on October 7, 2021 at 9:39 am

I’m disappointed that fedoras are on this list.

  39. Kerry Alfaro on October 7, 2021 at 9:43 am

High waisted jeans today are freaking mom jeans and they’re ugly AF!!!!!!! I don’t need my azz crack hanging out but belly 🔘 is not supposed to be covered by 5 unnecessary inches of jeans fabric!!!!

  40. christen gardner on October 7, 2021 at 9:43 am

    This video is stupid af

  41. Eudo on October 7, 2021 at 9:44 am

  42. eddt430 on October 7, 2021 at 9:45 am

High rise jeans. 😭 2021 to many fat birds. 2000s. Hot skinny birds. Dam junk food ruined it for all of us.

  43. aaron bush on October 7, 2021 at 9:45 am

I love the 2010 way more than 2010’s, they got really freaky weird, boring and awkward

  44. Mimi Money Machine on October 7, 2021 at 9:47 am

    These were cute bye

  45. sarah shehzad on October 7, 2021 at 9:47 am

Ok even I hate these trends but they should not say don’t wear this because everyone has a different fashion sense

  46. Georgiana Macdonald on October 7, 2021 at 9:48 am

I genuinely think low rise jeans and slip dresses are very or cute

  47. MikuPinky on October 7, 2021 at 9:49 am

Too late; I’ve seen teenagers wearing some velour bootcut jeans associated with tracksuit tops in the streets, feb or march 2020 (and it looks cool)

  48. Onesilike on October 7, 2021 at 9:49 am

Thank goodness I’m too old to worry about what’s on trend. I try to wear clothes that flatter my body type, but ultimately, comfort is king!

  49. Denae Michelle on October 7, 2021 at 9:52 am

Okay but some of these are actually cute

  50. Tiisetso Mathibedi on October 7, 2021 at 9:52 am
