I totally agreeee!! Here is a way to wear vintage. When styled well people take notice and wish they could buy the piece.

So sick of your condescending elitist tone. Unsubscribing.

  5. MiBellaAlma on September 19, 2021 at 11:02 pm

I completely agree with you. I also think for someone like, B. Jones Style, vintage works really well for her.

I stopped watching after the first 3 1/3 minutes. Super cringy! Unpleasant and patronizing

A friend of mine used my pants and I got such a bad infection on my stomach. I took antibiotics for 2 years to get rid of that shit. Yes, I washed my clothes . But I had to put all away. No, for me! No vintage for me! Trauma 😬

I love this video! I usually mix vintage and modern items. Nice to hear that you recommend it, too.

Lauren, I hope you kept the belt on your Grandma’s dress to pair with other things. I was lucky enough to get my late great-aunt’s leopard print cape and faux fur hat. While she wore them together, that wouldn’t look good today, but I wear them apart with more modern clothes and get all sorts of compliments.

I DIED when you said "dusty" lol!!🤣

You’re very pretty and smart and I agree with everything you’re saying but I totally feel like you’re sitting on the steps above me at Constance about to dump yogurt on my head

Such good advice!!!! Someone who does the 1 part vintage 2 parts modern really well is Karenbritchick 💕

Great tips! But I think you’re wearing a little too much foundation in your videos, especially because your skin is naturally so beautiful.

Really great vintage tips that I’ve never heard anywhere! I’m an avid vintage/second-hand buyer (and stylist) and I completely agree with so much of what you’re saying here 🙂
At this point in my styling journey, I’m even able to put together a full vintage outfit and make it look modern and on-trend which is so fun and challenging to do

Really good tips. … especially knowing your personal style.
I would add the tip of ‘watch videos of some of the big name design houses. – looking to see what new elements they are incorporating into fashion.’

I noticed many of the larger design houses are going back in time for inspiration and to create a look. They are doing things like pairing 1950’s long gloves with a 1930’s hat, as accessories to standard a-line dress. In men’s clothes, knickerbockers are coming back into fashion for the fashion-forward types. In women’s fashion, micro-mini skirts for traditionalists, and sock -garters on knee socks for those pushing the envelope, are coming back in.
Ornate belts never go out of fashion. Padded shoulders (1970’s, 1980’s) and power suits are making a comeback. Now would be the time to find those items (and others) at the vintage store, knowing that you can start wearing them in spring or even now and be extradordinarily on trend. — also, watch color pallets. The rust colors of the 70’s are currently on trend. It looks like jungle prints in bright colors (1960’s, 1990’s) are also coming into fashion again.

Nobody can tell that shirt is vintage.

  24. mpmg67 on September 19, 2021 at 11:50 pm

Great advice. Just like any other fashion/style tip – don’t overdo it. Head to toe vintage can look too costumey.
