6 FASHION TRENDS Spring/Summer 2021: there's a lot happening | Justine Leconte

There are 3 main design directions and several trends within each one. Faced with the uncertainty of the pandemic, designers have infused their aesthetics and visions into their collections, much more than usual – not only in the clothes themselves, but also in the way the clothes were presented, from outdoor lookbooks to video performances.

As for every season, the trend boards can be downloaded for free, on my website: https://bit.ly/3dr2JhT

So grateful. No more skinny pants. Everybody wears it and very few can. So glad the flowy coulotte is back

  2. dj diSi on July 24, 2021 at 8:57 pm

The wider leg trousers are my fave! Looking forward to this trend this summer

  3. Marilyn Bussey on July 24, 2021 at 8:58 pm

    Love the Channel dress!

  4. Palomino on July 24, 2021 at 8:59 pm

Finally! It’s great that we are getting out of this low rise skinny jean stuff. Very few women look flattering in that style and wider hips are only accented! Open your eyes and get off the social media propaganda train. High waist with fabric that skims over the hips and drapes down are amazing if cut correctly. Crop top with high waist is the same idea and no skin shows because the top overlaps the waist band if paired correctly. Now your legs look a mile long instead of these low rise skinny jeans that grip the thighs and your hips making them out of proportion to the rest of the body. Amen!

I wish Justine would show more street styles. I can’t relate to high fashion runway designs, they’re too far fetched and nothing to do with the average woman.

  6. Jessica Rain City on July 24, 2021 at 9:01 pm

I love the puffy, grown on, balloon sleeved sweatshirt. It seemed so practical to have a princess sleeve in loungewear. Perfect for this year. I’ve never been interested in designers, but this top did make me go look him up.

Hi hi everyone! Happy Spring ☀️ What is your favorite trend? 🤗

  8. Aria Targaryen on July 24, 2021 at 9:02 pm

Have no desire to buy any new cloths. I was invited to a nice wedding, I looked into my closet and found a beautiful dress to wear.

  9. Caro Arsenault on July 24, 2021 at 9:03 pm

    Fantasy 😍

  10. Mario Alfaro on July 24, 2021 at 9:07 pm

Hi Justine, plaese make a Discord chanel with different subjects than we all can discuss… would be a great idea 🙂

  11. Lilly on July 24, 2021 at 9:09 pm

I’m wondering what you think. I’ve seen fashion emulate feelings of dystopia. For example, Saint Laurent ss21 gave me oppressive power, overburdened worker, and revolutionary vibes. Maybe that’s the projection of my own day dreaming… but possibly my favorite collection

  12. Joanna Gaj on July 24, 2021 at 9:12 pm

I love lots of colours 😍, fashion 70s, wide trousers

  13. rosieapplelemontart on July 24, 2021 at 9:12 pm

I kid you not, the other week I was wishing capes would become fashionable 😍 hope I get to see many this year. Thanks for the great video as always!

  14. BeeKindRewind on July 24, 2021 at 9:12 pm

The pants. Finally, an end to the skinny Jean!

  15. Marilyn Bussey on July 24, 2021 at 9:13 pm

    Dior…sweeping, love it!

  16. Mark McGuire on July 24, 2021 at 9:18 pm

  17. Latifa Ayad on July 24, 2021 at 9:21 pm

I love the capes and the fairytale dresses… Not a huge fan of the comfort clothes—I’m ready to get out, not buy more clothes that feel like pajamas!

  18. Going Green Mom on July 24, 2021 at 9:22 pm

I think I like the feminine aspects that are fantasy based, but then they seem comfortable too.

  19. Maryanne Matthews on July 24, 2021 at 9:22 pm

Catch watch this……way too many adds 😟

  20. Nancy Palmer on July 24, 2021 at 9:22 pm

So excited that capes are back! I’ve been wearing dusters for decades as the closest thing to a cape that I could wear in public without drawing unwanted conversation.

  21. Tiffany on July 24, 2021 at 9:23 pm

I can only see myself wearing a pajamas in the foreseeable future 😔

  22. Maralf Niqle on July 24, 2021 at 9:25 pm

I’m doomed to sweats or PJs 7 days a week then😅

  23. Loraine Steyn on July 24, 2021 at 9:26 pm

    Happiest about the wider pant!

  24. USSR survivor reviews on July 24, 2021 at 9:26 pm

I must say, i like all those pics, haha. I understand you cherry picked them, but still, 2021 trends looks much better than previous few years, i think

  25. Mary Donald on July 24, 2021 at 9:29 pm

I wish someone would design something, that people could actually wear and not look like clowns.

  26. Vanessa Davaz on July 24, 2021 at 9:32 pm

Would you post a men’s 2021 spring/summer fashion video as well??

  27. KJlia on July 24, 2021 at 9:33 pm

Dear Justine, I have some shirts made from light and soft materials such as viscose, polyester or mix, jersey or woven. Especially on the newer ones I realised that they show very strong pilling after just 1 or 2 wears. I think it’s the wearing, not the washing. Haven’t washed them hot. Why does it happen, and is there a way to tell a good material from a pilling one?

  28. Dalie's Art Lab on July 24, 2021 at 9:35 pm

Great video but ads are out of control – seemed like i had more ad content than the video….Watched a few of your videos tonight and would watch more but cant handle the non stop ads…

  29. Gpmuthu Pacific on July 24, 2021 at 9:35 pm

    Wow you look awesome

  30. Marely Ruiz on July 24, 2021 at 9:35 pm

I love super comfy, I would love to buy the cream colored sweater xD

  31. Heidi Smith on July 24, 2021 at 9:35 pm

Changing times? More like the end of times. Anyone heard of the St Malachy prophecy of the Popes? It matches with the Book of Revelation, and it would make sense that we are living in the end, because the world has turned into something that resembles the film, Idiocracy. No more fashion, people living in their pajamas and or gym clothes.

  32. Chloé MORTELMANS on July 24, 2021 at 9:36 pm

i’m short (like 1m53 at most) but i looove the long wide leg trousers so i ask my grandmother who is amazing with a sewing machine (she has made some things for me in the past) to re-hem all of my longer trousers or even "properly" cut of jeans that may be too long (i’d rather have them cut of, i’m kinda over the rolled up look)

  33. İrem Fırat on July 24, 2021 at 9:37 pm

These videos are so helpful. Thank you!

  34. Katie Aiken on July 24, 2021 at 9:40 pm

Love the gorgeous pant silhouette and love love LOVE the cutouts- the hint of risqué is so much sexier (IMO) than really revealing designs. That being said, the micro bralette silhouette is so much fun for the younger generation. What wonderful options for all! ❤️🥰

  35. Laura Cole on July 24, 2021 at 9:40 pm

I love the fantasy! I miss getting dolled up just for work or for my day out on the town. I also loved the suggestive infancy trend! I love layering and fun unique styles like that. Thank you for always making such good videos! Your time is truly appreciated!

  36. Sanya Bhutani on July 24, 2021 at 9:40 pm

    Hi Justine,
Amazing insights here. Thank you. I m working from Home and I want to wear very comfortable clothes esp. In Indian summer. What is your take on tie dye co-ord sets?? What else can we wear but should be affordable

  37. Valérie Kaelin on July 24, 2021 at 9:40 pm

    Loose trousers are my favourite.

  40. Hi-lee Hi-lo Hi-la on July 24, 2021 at 9:41 pm

Justine, you are a gem. Thank you for your content and for staying true to you.
    Chloe dress (far left),
Chanel long top over wide leg pants and
Vuitton poncho top over black pants. I would wear these. (In my dream world). The last two are 3rd to the right pics.

  41. Jelka Pavkovic on July 24, 2021 at 9:41 pm

Hi Justine.I would love to see some of your designes. Please!😊

  42. Marilyn Bussey on July 24, 2021 at 9:42 pm

    Dior! Dreamy!

  43. Y on July 24, 2021 at 9:43 pm

What lipstick are you wearing ?? I’m looking for a shade exactly like that actually

  44. Marianne M on July 24, 2021 at 9:44 pm

The pandemic taught me that I don’t need a lot of clothes. Judging from what I see here I’m not missing much. I liked the Chanel and Dior dresses, the Gucci pants, the tulle dress by McQueen, and the Lanvin dress.

  45. BeautifulWorkout on July 24, 2021 at 9:46 pm

Jeans, long dresses and wide fit pants

  46. margarita sokolova on July 24, 2021 at 9:47 pm

I am dreaming of runways with normal looking beautiful or at least pretty girls. Why do they show androginic girls? Or strange girls? Or frankly awfully looking girls? I really miss the beauty in these runways. Those trends that are shown here can be made very beautiful, but the photos are just……. awful

  47. Carol Wallage on July 24, 2021 at 9:48 pm

Dear Justine – I really love watching you & your ideas – however, it is hard for me to relate as I have such a difficult shape ! I am short (5′ 2"), have a really large bust (needing much support), am thick around the waist & short in the leg – lucky me huh ? Literally ANY suggestions you could offer would be so gratefully appreciated you could not imagine…please, please, please help – I want to look good again & I trust your judgment…thank you…

  48. Susie Soule on July 24, 2021 at 9:49 pm

Sooo..eeh.. what’s trending in the real world?

  49. Mellia Boom Bot on July 24, 2021 at 9:50 pm

I love the fantasy look, I follow a singer called Aurora who wears a lot of tulle etc and the exposed high midriff. I also really like the idea o crop flared trousers. I still love the puff sleeve…

  50. Jacqueline Hattersley on July 24, 2021 at 9:53 pm

You look amazing in that green Colour Justine
