A Quick Beginners Guide to Monograms With Cricut

A Quick Beginners Guide to Monograms With Cricut

If you’re like me and you are fairly new to Design Space and the newer models of Cricuts then something like how to do Monograms may seem simple to seasoned pros but to us is a little more mysterious. If you are not particularly fond of the fonts that Cricut has to offer for monograms, then what do you do? Well, I will answer that question for you in this video and many more tips to get you started making your own beautiful monograms with your Circut.

The vine monogram I show in this video was purchased in a bundle of other monogram fonts at this Etsy Store:

The Harry Potter font came from this Etsy Store:

I’m really struggling to understand how this whole process works! Does the Cricut come with the software to download on to your computer for the monogram format? And when you have the one you want you just print it from your Cricut on to vinyl paper then use transfer paper to apply it to an item? Someone help lol.

Can you still use the Design Studio software, cricut said they took that away or is there a cartridge to do personalized things? I’m so confused on how to upload a personalized name I want to cut out on vinyl…

Can you tell me for a beginner to Cricut, which machine should I buy? I know nothing about this type of craft but I want to learn how to put monograms on clothing and signage. This is going to be a gift for myself and I want to be sure to purchase the correct machine. You did a great job and it was easy to understand your instructions.

This is something that I’m definitely interested in starting. But, I have no idea where to start. Any help on where I can start? Obviously a computer and printer is needed. A special type of printer? Also, what is this app that you’re using? are those the basic things needed to start monogramming? Someone please help
