Why do you use zigzag instead of a straight stitch?

I saw a memory quilt by “heart and sew” on Pinterest, there was about 6-10 clothes pieces (bibs and tops) that were overlapping in one square. I was wondering if you could do one square in this format. Also would it be ok to use double sided iron on interfacing ? I love your your memory quilt and I really appreciate you taking the time to post this.

You are an amazing woman I loved the video ! My mother and I are going to attempt this 🥰 about how many days did it take for you to finish this quilt?

That is so cool. Can you try to make a quilt with baby socks or mitten? I think that will be cool too.

Hi what’s the use of this quilt

  14. Nicole Rosa on October 3, 2021 at 8:25 am

I thought I came up with this idea but I’m so glad I’m not! This was so helpful! I want to make one with my friends baby’s first year of clothes to show her growth. I really want to make it so the zippers can zipped and unzipped and buttons can be fastened by her when she gets older. Do you think that is doable? I’ve never sewed anything in my life, but my aunt makes everything, so she’s going to do it with me so it looks amazing. I tried explaining this whole idea to her and she looked at me like I was crazy. She wants to make patches out the baby clothes. But having seen yours, I know for certain I want to keep the clothes intact. I’m so excited!

Do you have batting sandwiched between your top and back? I don’t see any quilting either. What was your thoughts on this?

  24. Yvonne Batterson on October 3, 2021 at 8:46 am

It looks WONDERFUL ! You did a great Job ! The squares are coordinated with the dresses . I am sure they were thrilled to receive them. You put lots of Love in every stitch … and that’s what counts <3

  26. Christine Davis on October 3, 2021 at 8:46 am

Newbie here. Could you have removed part of the backs of some of the thicker ones where you didn’t need or notice it? It just seems to make sense, as long as it didn’t change the look of the outfit finished look. Love it, love it!
