What was the name of the song played during the memorial? I know its from a movie but I cannot pinpoint it.

  2. AlekWheeler on February 20, 2022 at 10:37 pm

Why is he not here still…
    Just…why…

  3. Benjamin David on February 20, 2022 at 10:38 pm

Death and Suicide is Tragedy. David unlike so many other acknowledgements shows some shock and feeling here – which is not his cup of tea. God Bless You.

  4. Malburg36 on February 20, 2022 at 10:39 pm

I honestly thought Richard Pryor was Steve Harvey

  5. Legit.Exe on February 20, 2022 at 10:40 pm

I’m not one to advertise, but I uploaded a theoretical video about Robin Williams death/Suicide Note (Thoughts on the day) Please view it for an awakening on his last day on earth!

  6. dave houston on February 20, 2022 at 10:46 pm

I always suspected Robin Williams of doing some serious drugs the way he acted.

  7. kittysoy on February 20, 2022 at 10:47 pm

I feel like David absolutely hates when the audience claps lol

  8. iAmDavid on February 20, 2022 at 10:47 pm

i knew someone like Robin Williams who always hid his depression or dark secrets behind a mask(humor).

The three men in the photo shaped a lot of our lives with their humor. Thanks for the memories

  12. frisco21 on February 20, 2022 at 10:51 pm

We loved Robin.  We needed him.  How very sad that at the end of his life this magnificent man who brought laughter to millions died in isolation and pain.  It’s heartbreaking.

What the Dave-haters and Leno-lovers of the world fail to realize is that Dave is a genuine, sincere, and regular guy.  That hasn’t changed since the early 80s.  I like Leno and his Garage, but Dave *is* Mister Late Night.

  14. Watchers1 Eyes on February 20, 2022 at 10:54 pm

R I P robin thanks for the memories and smiles.

  15. Chris on February 20, 2022 at 10:56 pm

Nice tribute until you added the sentimental music. Why?

  16. LolSpecLol on February 20, 2022 at 11:00 pm

To all the people hating on Dave, I’m not crazy about him myself, I find him boring and unfunny, but at least he’s not a total classless dickhead like Jay Leno.

  17. Elaine Julie Williams on February 20, 2022 at 11:04 pm

Still makes me cry to see him.

  18. James Caldwell on February 20, 2022 at 11:07 pm

What a wonderful, informal Eulogy, Dave.  Here we are in February of 2015, and I STILL miss Robin. If only I could have given him a 10th of what he’d given to me in making me laugh, smile and cry….

  19. Rob Wilson on February 20, 2022 at 11:07 pm

Wait a minute, this video wasn’t here when the YouTube channel launched. did you figure out how to go back in time?

  20. Shazam on February 20, 2022 at 11:07 pm

Anyone know which episode it is at 8:30? Hilarious!

  21. are Johnson on February 20, 2022 at 11:09 pm

The BEST Robin Williams tribute out there.

  22. Walter's Heart on February 20, 2022 at 11:09 pm

It’s strange to be in a world where Robin Williams is not.

  23. ericynot on February 20, 2022 at 11:09 pm

Dave often talked about how Robin Williams helped Dave out long ago with a job on "Mork and Mindy". That small act clearly provided valuable support to Dave when he really needed it.

Don’t you wish, when Robin obviously was in trouble and needed help toward the end of his life, he’d reached out to Dave? None of us knows the inner dynamics of their relationship, but I feel sure Dave would have done anything he could for his long-time friend, and maybe, just maybe, Robin would still be with us.

  24. pepela on February 20, 2022 at 11:10 pm

Thanks Dave….we’re going to miss you.

    Nice tribute.

  25. susanbeesweet2 on February 20, 2022 at 11:12 pm

Good Lord! Does anyone have a single good thing to say about Robin Williams or does everyone feel the need to be harsh and unfeeling people? All I know is most of you people will be forgotten when you’re gone, and all you will have contributed to life is your legacy of negative internet comments. Congrats!

  26. Ryuobbi on February 20, 2022 at 11:13 pm

10:00 You can see how nervous David was and was so hard for him to say those words . Man Robin was a such legend.

  27. Kelci Lane on February 20, 2022 at 11:14 pm

He will be missed, this brought me to tears. He will live in our hearts forever. :,(

  28. Jose Paulo King on February 20, 2022 at 11:14 pm

Letterman was clearly holding back some genuine tears.
And, I think anyone who knew Williams would have been too.
He gave this world that which it could not give him.
    RIP for eternity, Robin.

  29. coffeehigh420 on February 20, 2022 at 11:14 pm

  33. LeFrogCatcher on February 20, 2022 at 11:17 pm

That’s so weird, "I had no idea he was in such pain" + "my friend Robin Williams". How do you define friend, I s’pose…..

  34. Benjamin Vincent on February 20, 2022 at 11:21 pm

Robin Williams was a gift to us from God, And I am so sure that God and Robin are laughing together in Heaven.  I thank God for such a gift as Robin, he made life seem so much fun. I will miss him.  David did a great job honoring this gift from God.

  35. John Baird on February 20, 2022 at 11:21 pm

The background music was very moving.  Does anybody know what particular piece it is and by whom?

  36. Thaddeus K McNamara on February 20, 2022 at 11:22 pm

So glad yt had this one on my list of vids… so Sad that he didn’t find a way to overcome the hell he was living with. If only… ❤️

  37. Gurel on February 20, 2022 at 11:23 pm

The last couple days I’ve been racking my brains wondering how could such a spiritual figure want to end his life. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, he was enormously respected and appreciated by his fans and collegues.
Believing every person on this world is there for a reason, he was here to light up people’s hearts and make their struggles in life a little easier to go through with the power of humour. He was here to make people happy.
It’s impossible for me to comprehend how this kind and loving man whose eyes sparkled every time he made someone laugh would be at such a severe level of frustration that he would give up the most precious thing that is given to a human ever – one’s own life. Knowing that a man, who is a symbol of happiness and spiritual upliftment, a man who has proven to know how to enjoy life at its finest, has done so, makes a small part of me die inside.

Sadly, I don’t believe such thing as the Afterlife exists, but I’m hoping that I’m wrong and that he is there right now, laughing in eternal peace.

  38. bluesun2662 on February 20, 2022 at 11:23 pm

The best tribute of this great man I have seen…

  39. SLIP NORRIS on February 20, 2022 at 11:23 pm

    great video at the end.

  40. Bliss on February 20, 2022 at 11:27 pm

What a beautiful man he was. God bless him. What a loss… he was so good to others, so generous and kind. Even after all these months, I still can’t get my mind around "WHY?" Good tribute David.

  41. William Johnson on February 20, 2022 at 11:28 pm

I loved this wonderful tribute to Robin Williams, Dave.  I saw Robin Williams at the Fox Theater in St. Louis.  He had the audience laughing all night.  He had a table beside him with a whole bunch of water bottles.  He kept drinking them as he cracked joke after joke. — Terri Johnson

  42. Michelle Keaton on February 20, 2022 at 11:28 pm

  45. Rated R on February 20, 2022 at 11:29 pm

Robin Williams was hilarious. I could have never guessed he would go out like that. I imagined he would be someone who lived to be 83 years old and still making people bust their sides laughing.

  46. orbison on February 20, 2022 at 11:29 pm

I can imagine how much harder this was for Letterman since he has been a little open about his own struggles with depression.

  47. Ethan Weber on February 20, 2022 at 11:33 pm

    Piano song name?

  48. Dawn Bartholomew on February 20, 2022 at 11:34 pm

  49. Gina Greenlee on February 20, 2022 at 11:34 pm

Quite a tribute. The slow- and stop-motion images of Robin Williams laughing hysterically are so poignant.
