How many clothes do you ACTUALLY need for your baby? | Newborn Capsule Wardrobe (0-3 Months)

How many clothes do you ACTUALLY need for your baby? I’m going through my daughter’s weekly laundry pile to help you build a newborn capsule wardrobe (0-3 months). It really surprised me how little clothing we actually used in the beginning. Make sure you watch until the end to find out how many clothes we used versus how many clothes we had! SPOILER ALERT: we had wayyyyyy too many clothes🙈

This is what I would suggest to get started:
1) 5 sleep n’ plays w/ zippers
2) 3 short sleeve onesies
3) 3 long sleeve onesies
4) 2-3 pairs of pants (for colder months)
5) 2 pairs of socks
This amount of clothing would be plentiful to get started. Of course, you can buy a few cute outfits for photos & memories. I did laundry once a week as well. I have another video with more info about baby clothing towards the end, here:

I’d loveee your feedback. Please let me know what you’d like to see next in the comments below. Thank you for watching & your support ♡

Hey, I’m Stephanie! I’m 25 years old, married to the love of my life, from Michigan, & a new mama to our beautiful baby girl, Gianna. I’m kind of the first of my wonderful friends and family to get married and start a family, so I’m figuring out a lot of adult stuff as I go on my own. I want to share my experience and what has helped me along the way. Hope I can inspire – or be a friend – to those who watch my channel!

Live simply & be kind. Stephanie xo

I had to refrain from buying so many cute girl outfits when I was pregnant with my daughter because I knew we wouldn’t need a lot and they outgrow them so quickly. Your baby is adorable

Your baby is so sweet!! Mine went thru more but they also ended up with acid reflux so basically threw up all day on themselves and on me 😔 its hard to really know but best to be prepared!

Great tip! I agree completely, they grow so fast. We try and give bigger sizes for baby showers.

Thank you for this video! I have so few clothes for my future baby, but I feel like it’s enough. However when I see other peoples’ videos I start to second guess if we have enough! But I feel much better about what we have now 🙂

Do all your clothes 0-3 months size? Did you have any newborn size? I’m due in April, and try to figure out how many each size and type to buy…

My mom told me to not register for any clothes because people like buying that stuff. Also I’m like the last in my friend group to have kids so that’s a plus

My babe wore 2 a day one outfit and one sleeper. She’s 2 months and still in newborn clothes and diapers. I barley bought any newborn stuff or the reason they’re not in it long.

I was worried I didn’t have enough because I’m tend to be a minimalist for financial reasons, but turns out I have the perfect amount, no need to stress over not having the “right” amount!

I do the 7,2r rule for clothes…….one for every single day and 2 for emergency travels or staying out ……it worked with everything and I’m grateful I followed that rule……a real money saver

I don’t have any babies yet, but this video was very informative. Will definitely help me in the future as I tend to buy more than I need, lol. You’re daughter is precious 🥰
