Your baby will be alright. Forty years ago my baby boy was transferred to intensive care in a fort Worth hospital. He had every kind of tube in every part of his body. He stayed there for over a week. He is forty married three kids. As I said your baby will be fine.

My oldest and youngest were preemies. My first due to a placental abruption after a car accident and the youngest because I developed HELP syndrome and it was deliver her or we would both die. Thank God for the NICU doctors and nurses, both are healthy and well. My oldest is grown up and my youngest is in high school

The one person not around that baby is momma, there is less and less realization that baby needs mom to heal and thrive ! all those hands and none belong on baby more than moms.. all the brilliant drs and yet they miss this very important fact. Get that baby with its mother and it will heal/recover faster.

I will never forget the extraordinary doctors and nurses in the neonatal unit of my hospital. My son was born two months early and my emotions were on extreme although I didn’t show much. They were so gentle and supportive, down to the tiniest details. I’ve saved a little paper heart that was left on the outside of his incubator on Valentine’s Day. I don’t know why but that felt so good-it still does. 🥰

This is a wonderful example of the care and complexity of working in the NICU. This neonatal doctor (maybe a fellow Aussie working abroad by the accent?) fulfils his role perfectly, calmly, and professionally in my opinion, as both a seasoned NICU nurse and a NICU mum. What an asset to his team.
God bless So much
