Shearling adds pounds
Leather & tailored looks
I honestly hate runway clothes..
You were right. I finally adjusted out of my skinny jeans and now it’s time to pack them away.
🤔🤔 Hmmm…I might try a pleather skirt. I rarely wear skirts and I don’t think I’ve ever owned a pleather piece of clothing. I will see what I can find and try a few things. Uh…my skinny jeans are gone, bye bye, adios, toodles 🤣😂 I just don’t think they are flattering on me, at all.
I love that top your wearing. Where can I find it?
Woow nice 🙂🙂🙂
Awesome compilation and thanks for also showing how to make the trends wearable for all! I’m knitting a mod sweater vest to layer right now in a mustard color then will start a cable-knit – just need to choose the color for that one! Tailored all the way for me!
I just found a stash in my cedar chest that I thought I had gotten rid of. There was a glittery silver & black light jacket in there….gonna give that a try again!!
As a plus size gal, I hate the puffer trend. I’m way puffy enough without adding extra quilting that just looks bulky and, to me, ugly. I hope they don’t last long.
Dr.Martins!❤❤❤ They are so comfortable and where I live in North Idaho perfect for the weather!

I went out shopping two days ago and bought a knee length knitted dress with a long puff sleeve, a pink long sleeved (also puffy) sweater and some mom jeans. I NEVER thought I would EVER wear that, especially the jeans. Haven’t worn high rise jeans with a belt since 1993. I’m surprised I actually like it.
Thanks for your great list Erin! /Marie from Sween
Thanks for all of your help. I retired 5 years ago and lost my fashion style. I’ve struggled ever since. You have given me a wake up call to get back my style.
Thank you so much for this, I’ve been searching for an elevated puffer and found just what I wanted from SAM with the new soho down coat. Would never have found it without your recommendations! Looking forward to cooler days now.
I love slope style, too bad I moved from New Haven CT,to too hot for that Charlotte NC.
cable-nit bc its so comfy and tailored bc anything tailored to your body is gonna make you look slimmer and more pulled together
Leather.
More comfy and flattering jeans please
Hey Erin. Great video. Are there any brands you recommend for relaxed fit jeans that don’t look dumpy?
Skinny’s look good on me so therefore will always be in style. Give it 5 years and they’ll be “back” lol.
I am going to try the sweater vest look over a stretch tank cami,in order to stay cool.
I just bought a pair of combat boots (TAMARA London) in brick brown……at 65 I hesitated but I think I can rock them this autumn. My husband gave me two thumbs up.
I’m 53. I don’t do trends. I know what works for me and have curated a classic wardrobe. Trends are for kids.
Finally! Fashion for over 40. Im here for it!
Funny, i watch Netflix daily and I’ve never even seen Bridgerton on the recommended or trending lists
12:46 looks like Bad Lands, SD hahhaaa good job!
I haven’t seen Bridgeton but I looked online at still images. I’m not seeing a fashion parallel in stores in Texas. I’ve seen lots of boxy cropped chenille sweaters and calf length duster sweaters in medium weight knits. I bought a cropped boxy sweater vest with a v neckline from Marshall’s. Will I be fashionable?
Sweaters!!!!!!!!!
Erin, just recently found you and was thrilled. The video on fashion blahs hit me where I was hurting. I got so many great ideas I’m fired up and going through my closet now. I would say ONE thing don’t toss fashion classics. I had the most beautiful silk blouse with ruffles and silk flower appliqués on the ruffles. I gave it away and still miss it every season. I’ve never found anything like it – a constant heartache 💔.
What jeans do you have on with your Doc Marten boots?
Loving these trends honestly (except tailored and sweater vests) but sadly many don’t work in CA… like the Sherpa and puffs… so cute though
I love that red cut out dress her daughter picked.(Busbee style the next generation).
I found a t with cute puff sleeves made of lace inset at Target. It comes in white or black, I bought black so it isn’t too sweet. Im over 50, its just enough trend for my classic taste

I love the fuller midi skirts. Those are so ME! I also love cable knit, but will need to shop for some sweaters with less bulk, as I am top heavy. Here’s the exciting part. I have two high quality cable knit midi skirts that I wore 20? years ago. I never got rid of them because I love them, and thought they were classic, although I haven’t worn them for quite a while. SOOOOO excited to wear them again!
Thank you Busbee you are a great inspiration for me.

What are some of your favorite sites to shop on that have good quality clothing that isn’t too expensive?
I agree with Ellenmelee, Doc Marten’s are great. I wore them from November to March everyday while teaching. My feet never hurt and at the end of the day my feet & socks were dry. They can plow through snow and slush without soaking your feet. I have 4 pair and a pair of Blundstones. Comfort is a must for me.
Love your Hair Cut 🎉🌸‼️🥰
Living in Florida, probably gonna skip most of the trends. But I think I may try the puffier sleeve, a bit of metal, and relax jeans. I hate shopping for jeans cause I never find a style that works. Still have a couple pair of skinny jeans I wear at times. 😬
I loathe skiing. I’ll take the spa and the bar tho at a nice resort!
Omg I JUST SOLD a hot pink satin blazer that looks like raw silk (garage sale!) It figures… ugh
I’m going to buy a very short sweater vest to wear over white shirts. I’ve got chunky black motorcycle boots already but might get even chunkier. Got the leather pants and skirts covered. Have bought several sweater dresses and sweater/ skirt combos for this year. This may be the year I finally get a luxurious shearling coat🌷
Saw the long blouse and short sweater look at Sundance Clothing. I’m a 14 and thought it wouldn’t work UNTIL I tried them on. Found that the look was very slimming. So, your advise to try it on, is right on the money. Thanks for the fall video. I’m inspired to try so brights on.
Whatever you had connected to Newman Marcus was great. I had a play around and eventually bought home and spa items that I know we’ll really enjoy. And they were on sale! Most anyway! Lol! Have the loveliest holiday season ever in exciting Spain! 🥰
I have purchased leather shorts and leather joggers. I also purchased really reasonable tall lug boots from a designer resale. They look great on me at 55, and I spent less than 200 dollars on them. It was really fun shopping for them.
Great job on your video 👍 I really enjoyed it a lot🤩 nice information plus your voice and your personality makes it interesting thank you
